Lukashenko meeting with Xi Jinping declares support for China's "peace plan" for Ukraine

"Today's meeting is held at a very difficult time which requires new nonstandard approaches and responsible political decisions," Lukashenko said.

He declared his task "to prevent a global confrontation which will have no winners."

"Belarus has been actively proposing peace and fully supports your initiative on international security," Lukashenko concluded.

• On February 24, China unveiled its "peace plan" for Ukraine. Beijing did not support Ukraine, but called for an end to "unilateral sanctions." The document also calls the war a "crisis."
