Klitschko gives interview to Bild in crater of Russian Kinzhal missile, calls on West to provide fighter jets

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has called on the West to provide Ukraine with fighter jets to protect it from Russian aggression. He emphasizes that Kyiv is still Russia’s target

The mayor gave an interview to the Bild in the crater of a Russian Kinzhal missile that struck Kyiv.

"Kyiv has been and remains a target. We always have to assume that Putin could attack us again with ground troops," Klitschko said.

"We need fighter jets, our military officers are clear about this. We must be able to defend ourselves!" he added.

At the same time, Klitschko rejected the idea of negotiations with the Russian president.

"Putin wants to destroy our existence, how can we negotiate with him? We need weapons for Ukraine to win the war!" the mayor emphasized.
