Germany announces more military aid to Ukraine
Germany has approved a new package of military aid to Ukraine, containing 7 GEPARD self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and 100,000 first aid kits.
The press service of the German government made the announcement.
According to the press service, military support for Ukraine includes 7 GEPARD self-propelled anti-aircraft systems and 100,000 first-aid kits.
Besides, the German government noted that the delivered military aid to Ukraine this week includes:
• 3 bridge-laying tanks BEAVER
• 10 unmanned surface vessels
• 65 border protection vehicles
• 14,000 sleeping bags
• Mi-24 spare parts
• 30 ambulances
Due to security concerns, the German Federal Government does not provide any details on transportation modalities and dates until after handover.
For reference: Gepard is an anti-aircraft self-propelled gun designed to cover ground troops and destroy air targets. Its firing rate is up to 1,000 rounds per minute.
- On September 14, Germany supplied to Ukraine 4 Gepards and 65 refrigerated trucks. At this point, 30 GEPARD anti-aircraft tanks have been delivered to Ukraine from the KMW stocks.
