Consequences of Kakhovka HPP destruction: 67 burials planned in occupied Oleshky
Kherson Regional Council member, Serhiy Khlan, notes that as a result of the Kakhovka HPP dam destruction, the occupied Oleshky and Hola Prystan have been flooded
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The situation on the occupied part of Dnipro’s left bank is critical and catastrophic. As a result of the Kakhovka HPP dam destruction, which took place at 5 am, the occupied Oleshky and Hola Prystan were flooded. In the morning, people were leaving their homes and the water already reached above their waists. Many people in these settlements had no information because the occupiers blocked this information. People who stayed in their homes were trapped in water," emphasized Khlan.
According to the deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, the number of dead people in the occupied part of the left bank of Kherson region will be catastrophic.
"Today, a large number of casualties are recorded in the occupied Kherson region. It is reported that 67 burials of local residents who died are already planned in Oleshky. The bodies have already been identified and people will be buried today. I believe that the number of dead people on the left bank of the occupied Kherson region will be catastrophic. And all this is due to the fact that the occupiers blocked the evacuation of people and did not allow people to evacuate by shooting at boats moving towards Kherson," emphasized Khlan.
