Battle for Bakhmut: Ukrainian military improves positions near Khromove and Orikhovo-Vasylivka

"The situation at the Bakhmut bulge is extremely difficult. Despite Russian propaganda, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the city. Bakhmut is under the Ukrainian flag and the approaches to the city remain accessible to Ukrainian defenders. Our guys had success in the area of Khromove and Orikhovo-Vasylivka," emphasized Voloshchenko, aka ‘Stone’.

According to the serviceman, Ukrainian defenders are successfully targeting the enemy in Bakhmut.

"We are fighting back in the southeast and in Bakhmut itself, and this is the most difficult section of the front. The enemy is trying to break through to the city center, enemy subversive reconnaissance groups are operating in the city. Bakhmut has turned into a battlefield where we are disposing of the enemy," added Voloshchenko.

• Russian troops are putting all their main efforts into the offensive at the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to repel more than 70 attacks there over the past day.
