Another "attack" on a Russian ship: video and photos of these events are staged

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 6 drones carried out the attack, but all the drones were destroyed. What does this incident suggest? Are we witnessing Ukraine’s escalating capability for attacking Russian ships, or are the Russians fabricating pretexts around the ships that are supposedly protecting the Turkish and Blue streams in the southeastern part of the Black Sea.

According to Andriy Ryzhenko, an expert at the Center for Defense Strategies and a captain with the Ukrainian Armed Forces reserve, the Priazovye ship is not responsible for protecting the Turkish and Blue streams in that area. Its role is to observe and monitor NATO aircraft activities. Regarding the incident itself, Ryzhenko believes that the video and photo footage is staged. First, the video shows that the shooting did not take place at 01:30 am. Secondly, the footage shows firing from an AK-306, an artillery unit located on the ship's bow. However, in a real combat situation, it is unlikely that filming from that angle would be allowed.

The reserve captain noted that we saw a similar instance of filming on the Ivan Khurs ship, when someone jumped out of some room and filmed an supposed approaching drone from the stern.

An expert from the Center for Defense Strategies said that in the case of the Priazovye ship, the footage was staged in an editorial manner, because it was just a regular shooting exercise. I have serious doubts about the six drones and the fact that this ship was able to destroy them simultaneously with AK-306 artillery at night. The AK-306 artillery system lacks radar devices and relies on a sighting column for firing. It would be extremely challenging to detect multiple targets, especially six of them, simultaneously at 1:30 am.

Ryzhenko mentioned that the Priazovye ship is currently near Turkey and has been there for approximately two weeks. He noted that this ship was accompanied by the Ivan Khurs, when the latter was actually attacked. There are regularly 1 or 2 Russian ships on reconnaissance duty north of the Turkish coast. According to Ryzhenko's knowledge, the Priazovye ship has remained in the same area. And the information about six drones should be questioned.

The expert suggested that the news about the Priazovye ship may have been fabricated to divert attention from the blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam.
