Air Force Commander demonstrates Patriot system on combat duty in Ukraine
Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Mykola Oleshchuk checked the combat positions of the Patriot air defense system in one of the areas
He wrote about it on Telegram.
"I thanked our anti-aircraft gunners who completed the training much earlier than planned! Thanks to our partners and everyone who contributed! In the photo behind me is the Patriot launcher, which is already on combat duty in the air defense system of Ukraine," he said.
He noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces already have modern Western anti-aircraft missile systems in service: NASAMS, IRIS-T, Patriot, SAMP/T, Crotale, Gepard and others.
"To complete the puzzle of Ukraine's promising air defense system, the Air Force needs an F-16," Oleshchuk added.
- On March 2, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised that Ukraine would receive another batch of Gepard self-propelled artillery systems and Iris-T in the coming weeks.

On April 18, the German government announced that over the past week it has transferred a Patriot air defense missile system with missiles and special vehicles to Ukraine. The next day, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov confirmed that they had already arrived in Ukraine.
