He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.

"We record the activation of the frontline in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The situation is tense, there is constant shelling. In the area of Lyman and Kreminna, the Russian occupiers are shelling frontline villages and destroying them with phosphorus and cluster shells. Fire exchanges with the enemy continue on the contact line," emphasized Andriyko.

According to the soldier, the positions of Ukrainian defenders have not been lost, all enemy attacks have been repelled.

"The enemy is sending assault units in small groups, both from the mobilized and more trained units. There are two to three assaults on our frontline positions a day, and attempts of night assaults by the enemy are also recorded. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are destroying the enemy and working for our common victory," added Andriyko.

• The British Ministry of Defence reported that the Russian forces will not be able to achieve significant success in the offensive in Donetsk region in the coming weeks due to the lack of ammunition and qualified units.
