After many months of fighting on the eastern front, only names on the map from towns and villages remain — Ukrainian military Shvayka
Ihor Shvayka, a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, noted that the AFU continue to hold positions on the eastern front to be able to launch an offensive later
He said this on Espreso TV channel.
"The situation in the East remains difficult. There is no panic on the part of Ukrainian defenders in the direction of Soledar. Russians are trying to occupy the town to demonstrate at least some victory. But there is a pragmatic attitude to the situation on our part, what tactics to choose to effectively defend and hold the front line for further offensive," noted Shvaika.
Shvayka also added that after many months of fighting in the Donetsk region, there is practically nothing left of towns, and especially villages, there is only a name on the map.
"In the best case, there are only building basements. And this also applies to Soledar, it is no longer a town - it is an object for complete reconstruction from scratch after our victory," Shvaika emphasized.
