About 120,000 Russian troops concentrated in Bakhmut sector - Ukrainian fighter
Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Stepan Barna says that a stage of positional warfare is taking place in the Bakhmut sector
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The Russians have a large human resource, they have the ability to rotate personnel. This is happening in the Bakhmut sector and we can feel it. If the shelling of our positions ceases, we feel that there is a redeployment of equipment. A large number of the enemy's group is concentrated in our direction alone - about 120,000 people," emphasized Barna.
According to the fighter, in the Bakhmut sector, Russians are unable to carry out effective counteroffensive actions, and this is the result of the work of Ukrainian infantry.
"Our infantry is deeply dug in and holding their positions. The stage of positional warfare is underway. There are trenches on both sides and mined territory between them. Defense forces do not allow the occupying Russian troops to advance deep into Ukrainian territory. There are successful assault operations initiated by the Armed Forces. The enemy is shelling Ukrainian positions with aircraft and cannon artillery, but the initiative is on our side," emphasized Barna.
