A Trump victory in 2024 elections will mean the end for Ukraine - Hillary Clinton
Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that Donald Trump's victory in the 2024 presidential election would lead to Ukraine's defeat in the war with Russia
Clinton said this in an interview with the Financial Times.
According to the former US presidential candidate, she does not believe that Trump will win the election in 2024. But if this happens, it will be the end of democracy in the United States, the end of Ukraine, and the path to the US withdrawal from NATO.
“If Trump wins in 2024, and I don't believe it will happen, it will be the end of democracy in the United States. It will be the end of Ukraine. And he will take us out of NATO,” Clinton said.
She added that Donald Trump was a gift for authoritarian regimes in the world.
“Trump was a gift to people like Xi and Putin. He was so in love with authoritarian regimes, incapable of any strategic approach to China, and you know, he was clearly going to do whatever Putin wanted to do with NATO,” Clinton said.
She believes that Xi Jinping changed his approach to Taiwan after Russia failed to succeed in its war against Ukraine. In her opinion, this has had a significant impact on the Chinese leadership.
