Zelenskyy proposes imposing 50-year sanctions on Iran
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted a draft resolution to parliament that would impose sanctions against Iran for 50 years
The relevant document was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament).
It is noted that the decision on sanctions against Iran was made by the National Security and Defense Council on May 27. Now it must be approved by the parliament.
It is known that the sanctions include a complete ban on trade with Iran.
It is also noted that it is planned to prohibit any investment in Iran and the transfer of technology, rights to objects and intellectual property rights by residents.
In addition, it is proposed to stop the transit of resources, flights and transportation on the territory of Ukraine, and to prevent the withdrawal of capital by Iranian residents.
The Cabinet of Ministers, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the National Bank will be responsible for implementing the resolution if it is adopted.
