Tehran accuses Zelensky of "information war against the Iranian people"
Iran has once again rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's accusations of supplying Russia with Shahed attack drones
This was reported by the Iranian state news agency IRNA.
According to Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani, Volodymyr Zelenskyy's accusations against Tehran of supplying Russians with attack drones are groundless, and by making them, the Ukrainian president is allegedly "participating in an information war against the Iranian people in order to get as much weapons and financial assistance from the West as possible."
He added that “political shows” do not change the reality of the war in Ukraine, and Kyiv has allegedly abandoned negotiations with Iran to investigate the supply of drones.
“The Ukrainian side’s avoidance of expert talks with the Iranian side in order to investigate the claims confirms their baselessness and the existence of specific political goals and motives behind such accusations against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Kanaani added.
He also called for a "political solution" to end the war in Ukraine.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly declared that it is against the war in Ukraine and its continuation, is deeply saddened by the suffering of the people of Ukraine, underscores the need to find a political solution to end it as soon as possible, and is ready to assist in its realization,” Kanani assured.
