Ukraine's FM Kuleba to visit China: key topics of talks

According to the statement, during the meetings and negotiations within the framework of the visit, the parties are expected to exchange views on the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations.
The discussion will focus on finding ways to stop Russian aggression and China's possible role in achieving a sustainable and just peace.
- In February, 2023, China published a document with a position on a "political settlement" of Russia's war against Ukraine. Beijing called for respect for the sovereignty of all countries, a ceasefire, negotiations, a solution to the humanitarian crisis, and the protection of civilians and prisoners of war.
- On March 29, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that Beijing is trying to play a constructive role in the ceasefire and political settlement of the "crisis" in Ukraine.
- On March 20, Chinese leader Xi Jinping met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow, where, among other things, they discussed China's "peace plan.”
- In April, China called on Europe to support its "peace plan" for Ukraine.
- During a press conference following the second day of the Global Peace Summit on June 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he would like China to be a friend of Ukraine.
