"Strong are not attacked": Duda dismisses possibility of Russian invasion of NATO countries

"I don't believe in this (Russian attack, editor's note) because I believe that we are preparing," remarked Duda.

"They don't attack the strong. They attack the weak. Those who can be easily defeated. I think if Vladimir Putin knew what was waiting for him and his army in Ukraine, he would not have attacked Ukraine," he added.

Emphasizing the Alliance's capability to "defend itself immediately," the Polish President highlighted ongoing efforts to modernize the Polish army. He mentioned Poland's decision to transfer outdated post-Soviet equipment to Ukraine to modernize the stocks.

• Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen had earlier suggested the possibility of a Russian attack on a NATO country within 3-5 years earlier this month.
