Russia might provoke civil conflict in Moldova

The country, which is about to start EU accession talks, doesn’t have enough votes to secure its European path without support from the diaspora.

The President of Moldova has reported large-scale violations, indicating a lack of control over the situation.

If this negative spiral is not stopped, Russia could push Moldova into a civil conflict.

We urgently need a joint strategy with the EU on how to stop Russia's influence in Moldova, no matter what it takes. 

Moldova can either move towards the West or become a Russian enclave. There are no alternatives here.
