Ramstein meeting postponed, new date pending
The scheduled Contact Group meeting on Ukraine's defense, set for October 12 at the German air base, has been postponed. The new date has yet to be confirmed

According to three sources at NATO headquarters, the Ramstein-style meeting, originally planned for October 12, has been delayed. A new date is being determined.
Earlier, Sabrina Singh, the spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Defense, hinted that the meeting could be postponed due to Hurricane Milton.
Singh suggested that the Ramstein-format meeting might be rescheduled and merged with the NATO defense ministers' meeting on October 17-18. However, no final decision has been made.
- U.S. President Joe Biden postponed his trip to Angola and Germany — where he was set to meet with the leaders of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein — due to Hurricane Milton.
- Following Biden’s schedule change, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also canceled his planned trip to Germany for the Ramstein meeting.
