Polish presidential race: Trzaskowski and Nawrocki lead after 99% of votes counted

According to data from 99% of polling stations in Poland's May 18, 2025, presidential election, Rafał Trzaskowski leads with 31.2% of the vote. Karol Nawrocki follows closely with 29.7%, securing a place in the runoff. Sławomir Mentzen is in third with 14.9%.

Other candidates received: Grzegorz Braun – 6.4%, Szymon Holownia – 5%, Adrian Zandberg – 4.8%, Magdalena Biejat – 4.2%, Krzysztof Stanowski – 1.2%, Joanna Senyszyn – 1.1%, Marek Jakubiak – 0.8%, Artur Bartoszewicz – 0.5%, Maciej Maciak – 0.2%, Marek Woch – 0.1%.

Earlier, the official website of Telewizja Polska reported that Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki were leading in the presidential race.

According to the latest late poll, which included results from 90% of election commissions, Trzaskowski received 31.2% of the vote, Nawrocki came in second with 29.7%, qualifying for the runoff.

Previously published exit poll data by the IPSOS sociological service showed slightly different results: Rafał Trzaskowski (National Liberal, Mayor of Warsaw, Civic Coalition) – 30.8%, Karol Nawrocki (National Conservative, President of the Institute of National Remembrance, Law and Justice) – 29.1%

Who are the candidates

In the first round of the 2025 Polish presidential election, 13 candidates were on the ballot, according to RAD. Voting took place on Sunday, May 18, with polling stations open from 07:00 to 21:00 local time.

Nearly 29 million voters were eligible to participate, with more than 32,000 polling stations across Poland and 511 electoral districts abroad.

  6. Maciej Maciak – Leader of the Prosperity and Peace Movement (RDiP)
  7. Sławomir Mentzen – Candidate from the Confederation
  8. Karol Nawrocki – President of the Institute of National Remembrance, supported by Law and Justice (PiS)
  9. Joanna Senyszyn – Former MP from the Democratic Left Alliance, economist
  10. Krzysztof Stanowski – Journalist
  11. Rafał Trzaskowski – Mayor of Warsaw, candidate from the Civic Coalition
  12. Marek Woch – Candidate from the Non-Partisan Local Government Activists
  13. Adrian Zandberg – MP, candidate from the Razem party
