“Ukraine has right to self-defense”: Stoltenberg supports Ukraine’s right to strike Russian territory
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine has the right to self-defense and can strike with Western weapons on the territory of Russia
He made the statement at a NATO ministerial meeting, European Pravda reports.
Stoltenberg emphasized that since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine has had an unconditional right to defend itself by striking at Russian territory. He stated that Ukraine has the right to self-defense, which includes strikes on targets in Russia. This right becomes even more urgent against the backdrop of the opening of a new front.
According to him, for effective defense, Ukraine should use the latest NATO weapons.
In addition, more and more NATO members are authorizing Ukraine to use their weapons, the Secretary General added.
