Fox News and Reuters reported the information.

The technology agreement will cover the strengthening of ties between Britain and America in the fields of AI and quantum computing, in particular. U.S. companies, led by Microsoft, are promising $42 billion in investments for London.

According to Starmer, the agreement "has the potential to shape the future of millions of people on both sides of the Atlantic and ensure growth and security."

"You (addressing Trump, – ed.) are among friends. There is much to celebrate in this special relationship between our two countries. This bond is the foundation of our security, our freedom, and our prosperity," the British Prime Minister stated.

In turn, Trump called the ties between the United States and Great Britain unbreakable.

"There is no more natural partnership in the world, as we build up the industrial capacity of both our nations, which is crucial for our defense. And we work so well together on defense," the head of the White House added.

Reports suggest that Starmer may seek to persuade Trump to adopt a tougher stance on Russia regarding the war against Ukraine.

“The British leader will want to champion the deals secured between the two countries, including a new technology pact. Starmer appears to have resigned himself to not getting any further reduction on steel and aluminium tariffs,” the article noted.

Trump and First Lady Melania arrived in the UK on September 17. During their visit, protesters projected an image of Trump with Jeffrey Epstein — who faced sex crime accusations — onto Windsor Castle.
