Trump firmly believes Russia cannot lose — expert

He shared his opinions on Espreso TV.

“The Russians have completely succeeded in convincing Trump of their position. Through Witkoff and other contacts in Trump’s administration, they managed to sway him into believing that the Red Army is the strongest, that Russia is the world’s second most powerful military, and supposedly, it cannot be defeated - it cannot lose. That’s why Trump is firmly convinced: Russia cannot lose. And everything it does is, by default, a concession. As if Ukraine never had a chance, and everything happening now is just a stroke of luck. This is one of the worst pieces of news we could have,” Kraiev emphasized.

The expert from the Foreign Policy Council Ukrainian Prism added that Donald Trump belongs to the group of propagandists.

"When the whole world has been witnessing a miracle for three years, seeing how Ukraine resists three nuclear powers in one form or another. When the world acknowledges that a miracle has occurred, something only Ukraine is capable of, Trump says: ‘No, you’re mistaken. There is no miracle.’ Remember how they used to say that Russia hasn’t even started yet? Unfortunately, Trump belongs to this group of propagandists," Kraiev concluded.

• U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the Donald Trump administration showed Ukraine and Russia the path to peace and what the final stretch should look like. Now both sides must say "yes."
