'Heartburn for Trump administration': expert on Ukraine’s ambassador replacement in U.S.
Ms. Markarova has no contact with the Trump administration, so she should have been replaced a long time ago
Taras Zahorodniy, political technologist and managing partner of the National Anti-Crisis Group, stated this on Espreso TV.
“It’s obvious that Ms. Markarova should have been replaced a long time ago. She was too closely connected and worked with the Biden administration, ignoring the Republicans. And for the current administration, Biden’s people are just a source of heartburn that starts immediately. So, of course, there is no contact, and I believe she should be replaced,” Zahorodniy noted.
The political technologist also commented on the possible appointment of Rustem Umerov as Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States.
“Will Mr. Umerov be effective here? Possibly. I am generally a supporter of having military personnel or at least people who have served in the army working in the Ministry of Defense, people who know what needs to be done, how it’s done, and what exactly to order. And as a diplomat? I think Umerov is quite a good person. And perhaps he will even be effective,” Zahorodniy concluded.
Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, confirmed the information about the replacement of Oksana Markarova as ambassador to the United States.
