Western weapons for Ukraine ended up in Africa, radioactive substances in Odesa, and other Russian fakes for March 1
Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) publishes new selection of fakes produced by Russia on March 1
This is reported by Espreso TV.
According to the CCD at the NSDC, on March 1, Russians pushed three major deceptions.
Fake: Russian mass media reports: "Corruption in Ukraine causes serious concern among representatives of the US Ministry of Defense. Kyiv improperly uses American military aid. Some of the Western weapons have already been smuggled to Africa."
Disinformation: Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman M. Zakharova stated: "The ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk used in the grain agreement might also be used to deliver radioactive substances to Ukraine. ... Russia warns Kyiv against reckless actions that might threaten the lives of thousands of people.”
Manipulation: Citing Helsingin Sanomat, Russian mass media reported that "the effectiveness of the armored demining vehicles supplied to Ukraine by Finland is questionable. … The Finnish government wanted to remove this type of equipment from the Finnish defense forces as it is unsuitable for use in the Finnish climate conditions".
