Zelenskyy asked Trump for Tomahawk missiles capable of striking Moscow — media

The Telegraph reported the information, citing sources.

According to the report, Zelenskyy argued that the long-range missiles could pressure Russian leader Vladimir Putin to come to the negotiating table. The outlet said the request was made on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly “in what has been hailed as a massively positive meeting.”

Zelenskyy later told media that Trump had agreed to supply Ukraine with long-range weapons, though no official confirmation has been made.

Tomahawk cruise missiles have a range of more than 2,400 km and carry a 450 kg warhead, exceeding the capabilities of any weapon previously supplied to Ukraine by Western allies. Former U.S. President Joe Biden had ruled out providing them.
