The U.S. Department of Defense reported the information.
“Today, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced additional security assistance support to ensure Ukraine has the tools it needs to prevail in its fight against Russian aggression,” the statement said.
The $375 million aid package is designed to address Ukraine's most pressing needs. It includes air-to-ground munitions, ammunition for rocket systems and artillery, armored vehicles, and anti-tank weapons.
The package includes:
- Air-to-ground munitions;
- Ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition;
- Tube-launched, Optically tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) missiles;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-armor systems;
- M1117 Armored Security Vehicles;
- Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles;
- Light tactical vehicles;
- Armored bridging systems;
- Small arms;
- Patrol boats;
- Demolitions equipment and munitions;
- Spare parts, ancillary equipment, services, training, and transportation.
Deputy Defense Department spokesperson Sabrina Singh
stated that the U.S. administration is working to secure funding for the remaining aid to Ukraine beyond the current fiscal year, with the goal of delivering the full amount before the end of President Joe Biden's term.
