New Ukrainian drone Stalker 5.0 to enhance military logistics in maritime areas
Defense Express military expert Valerii Riabykh explains the significance of the Stalker 5.0 maritime drone for Ukraine's Armed Forces
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Although it may not replicate the functions of unmanned boats for strike operations like 'kamikaze', the Stalker 5.0 drone can carry up to 150 kg of explosives. It can also deliver essential ammunition and supplies to support Ukrainian troops engaged in combat operations along the Dnipro River basin, such as in Krynky. This capability is crucial for enhancing logistics on the opposite bank of the river, which the Russian forces are trying to control. By bolstering logistics, the drone expands our military's operational capabilities in the Black Sea region," explained Riabykh.
The presentation of the new Ukrainian maritime drone Stalker 5.0 shows that Ukraine is increasing its capabilities not only in the production of already developed equipment, he noted.
"Ukraine is developing new technologies. This drone will likely be manufactured by a different company than those producing the Sea Baby or Magura V5 drones. In terms of performance, the characteristics presented are expected to be similar to those of drones currently in use. Magura is used by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, while the Sea Baby serves the Security Service of Ukraine,” the military expert added.
