HUR drones hit military sites in three Russian regions, target metallurgical plant
On Monday night, June 17, Ukrainian intelligence drones struck military targets in Russia's Belgorod, Voronezh, and Lipetsk regions of Russia

The HUR's drone attack targeted the Novolipetsk metallurgical plant and a local tractor plant, both of which Russia uses for military purposes.
Details on the aftermath of the attack are being clarified.
Russia’s response
Earlier, the governors of the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions, Igor Artamonov and Aleksandr Gusev, reported on the attacks.
At 03:34 a.m., Artamonov reported that one drone was allegedly shot down over Lipetsk. He added that special service employees are working at the crash site, and there are no victims.
"The red level of danger remains. Detection and suppression systems are ready," Artamonov emphasized, urging citizens not to publish photos or videos of the attack's aftermath.
Less than an hour later, at 04:21 a.m., Artamonov reported another UAV downing over the city's industrial area, also without victims.
At 05:09 a.m., he claimed two more drones were shot down.
"Two more UAVs were over the industrial area of Lipetsk. Law enforcement is at the debris site. No victims," he said, repeating the red level of danger warning.
At 05:55 a.m., the governor of the Voronezh region, Aleksandr Gusev, reported the alleged downing of two drones.
"Last night, two aircraft-type UAVs were detected and destroyed by air defense over the Voronezh region. Preliminary data shows no casualties or damage," he concluded.
Later, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that drones had been shot down over three Russian regions. The list also included Belgorod region, where, according to the Russian defense ministry, one drone was shot down.
"Air defense destroyed one UAV over Belgorod, two over Voronezh, and three over Lipetsk," the message stated.
- On the night of June 15, Russia reported air defense operations and drone downings in the Rostov region. Explosions were heard near Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, home to one of southern Russia's largest chemical plants.
