We urge world, UN to investigate terrorist attack in Olenivka, return captured Azovstal defenders - Sandra Krotevych
Sandra Krotevych, sister of the captured Azov regiment's chief of staff, Bohdan Krotevych, and a member of the Azovstal Defenders' Families Association, has called on all Ukrainians to sign a petition urging the UN to create a monitoring group not only to establish the condition of the prisoners of war in Olenivka and obtain a list of the dead, but also to find and bring home all Ukrainian defenders
She said this on Espreso TV.
"We appeal for the release of the defenders from Azovstal, first of all the Azov soldiers who suffered in Olenivka. We still do not know who died or who was injured as a result of this cynical terrorist attack. We appeal to the world, to international organizations, to influence and help return our boys and, first of all, more than 200 Azov soldiers who suffered from the terrorist attack in Olenivka. No one can tell anything about Azov soldiers, because there is no access to Olenivka," the sister of the captured chief of staff of the Azov regiment said.
Sandra Krotevych explained that since the soldiers left Azovstal, none of the relatives know where the commanders are or whether they are alive.
"I am asking all Ukrainians to sign a petition from the families of the Azov captives so that the UN creates a monitoring group with the aim of not only checking the condition of the prisoners in Olenivka and obtaining a list of the dead, but also to find and return all the prisoners of war from Azovstal. There is no information about the Azov soldiers at all, they are kept in strict isolation and further away from prisoners of war from other units. That is why an international monitoring group is needed, which would collect all the information and pass it on to the families of the prisoners of war," Krotevych noted.
A member of the Azovstal Defenders' Families Association also reported that today, September 6, in Kyiv, on Sophia Square at 8:00 p.m., Ukrainians will honor the memory of those killed in Olenivka, so she invites those who care to come and support the families of the prisoners of war, honor the memory of the Azovstal defenders, and simply join in.
