Stoltenberg stated this at a press conference on the eve of the NATO summit on March 24.
"What is happening in Ukraine right now is very painful. We are seeing human suffering, destruction on a scale that we have not seen in Europe since World War II. And I would like to acknowledge the courage of the Ukrainian people standing on their feet against the Russian invasion against the forces of Putin. And that is why we are stepping up our support", NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
