We need to understand that counteroffensive won't end war - Glavkom editor-in-chief Shlinchak
Viktor Shlinchak, head of the board of the Institute of World Policy and Glavkom editor-in-chief, says that one should not assume that the Ukrainian counteroffensive will end Russia's war against Ukraine
He said this on Espreso TV.
“We should not think that a counteroffensive will end the war. We should not understand that a counteroffensive is a one hundred percent casualty-free event and that some kind of cyborg brainiacs will fight and we will have absolutely no losses,” Shlinchak said.
He noted that everyone is well aware that quite a few human lives are always lost during offensive operations. So, according to him, this factor should not be taken lightly.
"I'm certainly not suggesting here that we shouldn't rely on the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but we need to understand the price that will be paid for every meter of Ukrainian land,” Shlinchak emphasized.
