He shared this during a press conference on February 19.
"We have completely different numbers. Everything is very clear. The war has cost us $320 billion. $120 billion is from us, the people of Ukraine, the taxpayers. $200 billion is from the U.S. and the European Union. These are weapon packages," Zelenskyy said.
According to the president, Washington provided Kyiv with $67 billion in weapons and $31.5 billion in direct financial aid to the budget.
"We are grateful for humanitarian programs, but you can't count that as $500 billion and ask us to return those $500 billion in minerals, etc. That's not a serious conversation. However, I say once again: we are ready for a serious document – we need security guarantees," he emphasized.
