The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on the evening of January 31.

“In Donetsk, the number of cases of particularly dangerous infections has significantly increased among the military personnel of the invading Russian forces and mercenaries of the Wagner PMC, which may be due to the lack of normal sanitary and hygienic conditions in the locations of enemy units,” the report says.

The Russian troops also restricted entry and exit from the village of Ulianivka in the Kherson region. Local residents are being searched and their cell phones are being checked.

Ukrainian aviation launched 9 strikes on Russian military positions and 2 on the air defense systems

During the current 24 hours, Ukrainian aviation launched 9 strikes on Russian military positions and 2 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

In turn, units of missile troops and artillery hit 9 manpower concentration areas and 1 munitions depot during the day.

Invading Russian forces launched 3 airstrikes, 3 missile strikes and over 20 MLRS attacks

Civil infrastructure was damaged in the Kharkiv, Donetsk and Kherson regions.

Invading Russian forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Lyman and Bakhmut directions, suffering heavy losses. They are not succeeding in the Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions, and in the Kupiansk and Zaporizhzhia directions, they are defending previously captured lines.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected.

At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact with artillery and mortars: 4 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 2 more in the Sumy region, as well as 10 towns and villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked.

Shelling of Ukrainian regions

  • In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian enemy fired at the Ukrainian troops' positions in the areas of 6 settlements.

  • In the Lyman direction, the Russian troops launched mortar and artillery attacks in the areas of 5 settlements in the Luhansk region.

  • In the Bakhmut direction, 11 settlements of the Donetsk region came under fire.

  • In the Avdiivka direction, the areas of 8 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

  • In the Vuhledar direction, 6 settlements of the Donetsk region were shelled.

  • In the Zaporizhzhia direction, 15 towns and villages were attacked.

  • In the Kherson direction, 17 towns and villages came under fire from multiple launch rocket systems, cannon artillery and mortars. There are civilian casualties.

The Russian troops failed to block the highway supplying the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Bakhmut.
