Zelenskyy: Three German defense firms now operating in Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that, as of today, three German defense industry companies are operating in Ukraine, and a fourth may join them soon

He said this before a meeting with the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Johann Wadephul, according to Ukrinform.
"I know that today, at this meeting, five representatives of major German defense industry companies will join us, and in the coming days, this number (of companies) will reach up to 20. This is an important partnership for us. We will develop the corresponding 'military hub' both in Ukraine and beyond. It is important for us that already three of these companies are operating in Ukraine," Zelenskyy said.
He also emphasized that soon, a total of four German companies may be operating in the country.
"And regarding this fourth company, I also wanted to discuss it separately with you, Mr. Minister," the president noted.
At a meeting in Kyiv with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Ukraine has appealed to the United States for additional air defense systems. The authorities want to acquire Patriot systems capable of shooting down ballistic missiles.
