Zelenskyy: Russia continues its aggression due to lack of global pressure
On the night of September 3, Russia launched a massive strike against Ukraine, using a total of 526 weapons, including over 500 drones and 24 missiles
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.
According to him, the main Russian targets were civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities, a transportation hub, residential buildings, and even a garage cooperative.
“During this night, dozens of residential buildings across different regions of our country were damaged. Firefighting efforts are ongoing,” the head of state noted.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the strikes are demonstrative in nature and an attempt by Putin to show his impunity. In his view, this requires a clear and strong response from the world.
“Only due to the lack of sufficient pressure, primarily on the war economy, does Russia continue this aggression,” the president stressed.
He reported that in the coming days he will discuss with international partners the need to strengthen sanctions and political pressure on Russia. In particular, a Ukraine–Northern Europe and Baltic States summit will be held today in Denmark, and in the evening, a bilateral format meeting in France. New steps are also being prepared in cooperation with the European Union and the United States.
“Every Russian strike requires a real response,” Zelenskyy concluded.
