Russian strikes rock multiple Ukrainian regions: casualties reported in Kirovohrad

Attack on Kyiv

At 8:05 p.m., Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that air defense forces were operating in the capital against Russian drones.

Kyiv City Military Administration head Timur Tkachenko informed at 12:11 a.m. that a drone had fallen in the Desnianskyi district of the city. According to preliminary information, there are no fires or damage, and emergency services are heading to the site.

At 05:21 a.m., Tkachenko reported that air defense systems were still active in the capital.

Aftermath in Kyiv region

The head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported that Russians launched a massive drone attack on the Kyiv region.

In Vyshhorod, debris from a downed target caught fire between residential high-rise buildings as a result of the attack. A car and building windows were damaged. The fire was extinguished by 02:27 a.m.

Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.

Aftermath in Kirovohrad region

The head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Andrii Raykovych, reported that the Russians attacked the Znamianka community, including railway infrastructure. Fires were also recorded in residential properties.

At 02:41 a.m., it was reported that three people were injured in Znamianka and are receiving medical care. Ten residential buildings were damaged, and power outages were reported in the community.

“Emergency service workers, police, psychologists, and medical teams are operating on site. Energy crews are restoring electricity,” Raykovych added.

By 03:13 a.m., the number of injured in Znamianka had risen to five. One house was destroyed, and 17 more were damaged. Surrounding settlements in the Znamianka area were also affected.

The State Emergency Service later clarified that 28 houses were damaged, along with other infrastructure objects.

Ukrzaliznytsia reported that four railway workers were injured in attacks on the country and railway infrastructure in Kirovohrad region. Their condition is stable, and they are hospitalized.

In addition, 22 trains were delayed due to damage to the railway infrastructure. 

Aftermath in Chernihiv region

The head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, reported that the Russians attacked a civilian critical infrastructure facility with drones, leaving over 30,000 households without electricity in the Nizhyn district.

The State Emergency Service stated that a residential building caught fire in the town of Borzna, Nizhyn district, due to the Russian attack. The fire was extinguished by morning. The blast also damaged seven residential buildings and two cars.

Attack on Lviv

At 02:02 a.m., the head of Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported that explosions were heard in Lviv. Air defense systems were active in the city.

Mayor Andrii Sadovyi also confirmed air defense activity at 02:27 a.m. and reported explosions at 02:53 a.m.

“According to preliminary information, the Russians launched about 15 drones toward Lviv during the night. Fortunately, no one was injured. One warehouse building was partially destroyed, but the fire has already been extinguished. District administrations are conducting additional inspections of the city,” he reported at 08:33 a.m.

Attack on Khmelnytskyi

Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn reported that explosions were heard in the city during an air raid alert. Air defense forces were active.

“Unfortunately, as a result of the Russian attack, there is damage and fires. Emergency responders are already addressing the consequences. Windows in buildings were also damaged. There is currently no information about casualties,” the report stated.

At 06:12 a.m., Suspilne reported explosions in Khmelnytskyi.

In the morning, Symchyshyn informed that as of 07:45 a.m., there were still no reports of casualties. At the same time, several damages were recorded:

  • Over 50 windows were broken or damaged in an educational institution;
  • Over 100 windows were broken or damaged in residential buildings;
  • Damage was reported at a municipal enterprise;
  • Private garages and cars were destroyed or damaged;
  • Municipal infrastructure was damaged;
  • Non-residential premises were damaged.

Additionally, one village in the community is experiencing power outages. Energy crews plan to restore electricity within three hours.

Attack on Ivano-Frankivsk region

Suspilne reported explosions in Ivano-Frankivsk region: at 02:59 a.m. in Kalush and at 03:37 a.m. in Kolomyia.

At 05:41 a.m., Suspilne reported another explosion in Kalush.

The head of the Regional Military Administration, Svitlana Onyshchuk, stated that Ivano-Frankivsk region suffered a combined Russian attack. Air defense forces were active.

“The target was an infrastructure facility. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. A fire broke out as a result of the attack. All relevant services have been deployed,” the report said.

Air defense activity in Rivne

At 12:16 a.m., Rivne Mayor Oleksandr Tretiak reported explosions in the city. Air defense systems were active.

At 01:10 a.m., Suspilne reported a series of explosions in Rivne.

Air defense in Lutsk

Lutsk Mayor Ihor Polishchuk reported air defense operations in the city at 12:41 a.m. and 12:51 a.m.

Later, Polishchuk stated that Russians attacked the community with a large number of drones. As of 06:54 a.m., there were no reports of casualties or deaths.

“Regarding damage to civilian infrastructure at this time: two garages and an outbuilding caught fire, another outbuilding was damaged by debris, and a private cargo vehicle was completely destroyed,” he added.

Air defense activity in Zaporizhzhia

“Explosions currently heard in Zaporizhzhia are the work of our air defense. The alert continues. Stay safe,” wrote Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov at 9:46 p.m.
