Zelenskyy ready to step down as president after war ends
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that he does not plan to lead the country in peacetime and intends to ask parliament to organize elections if a ceasefire is achieved

He made this statement in an interview with Axios.
When asked whether he would consider his work finished after the war, Zelenskyy replied that he would be ready to resign.
"My goal is to finish the war," rather than continue running for office, the Ukrainian president added.
Zelenskyy noted that the security situation and Ukraine’s Constitution pose certain challenges, but he believes holding elections is possible.
- Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine can hold elections, but only after achieving a ceasefire and under conditions of security guarantees.
