
'Ukraine, U.S. resume talks': Zelenskyy announces key meeting next week
During his speech at the European Council meeting in Brussels, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that cooperation with the United States has resumed, and he hopes for a meaningful meeting as early as next week

“Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the negotiating teams of Ukraine and the U.S. have resumed their work, and he hopes for a meaningful meeting next week,” the statement reads.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the next step is to ensure trust in the conditions under which the negotiations are taking place.
The meeting between the American and Ukrainian delegations will take place next week in Saudi Arabia, according to Fox News correspondent Jacqui Heinrich.
Among the participants will be: Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Andriy Yermak, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy for Middle East affairs Steve Witkoff, and White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
Dispute in the Oval Office
On February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Washington for a working visit. During a press conference, a dispute broke out between Trump, Zelenskyy, and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance.
Later, it was reported that the joint press conference of Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump was canceled after the disagreement.
Following the altercation in the White House, European leaders and U.S. politicians began expressing their support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced the U.S. government’s intention to halt financial military aid to Ukraine.
On March 4, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk confirmed that the U.S. had halted military shipments to Ukraine.
Later, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that his meeting at the White House with Donald Trump did not go as expected and that it was time to set things right.
On March 4, J.D. Vance said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky could return to the White House when he is "ready to discuss a peace plan."
On March 6, U.S. Special Representative for Russia and Ukraine Keith Kellogg stated that "the Ukrainians brought this upon themselves" because Volodymyr Zelensky "was informed of what we wanted from Ukraine" and cannot "challenge" U.S. President Donald Trump.
