President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this.
The Ukrainian leader held a meeting with the military, the Security Service of Ukraine, and government officials to discuss protecting infrastructure from Russian strikes.
"Russia is planning further attacks on our energy sector – attacks that may be less visible to the world right now because all eyes are on the situation in the Middle East. Our partners’ intelligence services have the relevant data," he wrote.
President Zelenskyy added that information about the Russian threat to Ukraine’s nuclear energy infrastructure has been passed by Ukraine’s Minister of Energy to the IAEA and Steve Witkoff. The Ukrainian Defense Minister shared the information with his U.S. counterpart.
- The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, stated after his visit to Kyiv that nuclear safety threats remain very real and persistent.
