May 9 will see political leaders supporting the Kremlin’s regime on Red Square - diplomat
Retired Ukrainian Armed Forces Major, diplomat, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine (2016-2019), and politician Volodymyr Omelian stated that on May 9, political leaders supporting the Kremlin’s regime will gather on Red Square
He made this statement during a broadcast on the Espreso TV channel.
“I would really like to see clarity and determination in the actions of the Ukrainian government. Especially since our American allies have already emphasized: this three-day ceasefire is absolutely unacceptable and senseless,” Omelian noted.
According to the diplomat, on May 9, Red Square will see a high concentration of enemy armed forces, possibly along with their allies. Political leaders who support the Kremlin’s regime will also gather there.
“This is a perfectly legitimate target for our missiles, if we have them. After all, we’ve heard many times about their existence, development, and testing. What could be more symbolic than burying Putin next to Lenin in the mausoleum? This could also be our job. Whether we are politically and militarily ready for this — it’s not for me to decide. In this situation, we should not fall for Putin’s attempt to hold a nice parade,” Omelian emphasized.
However, on the other hand, he pointed out, this could be a striking image for Trump, who would see Putin and Xi Jinping firmly embracing at the mausoleum, blessing their troops: today marching into Ukraine, tomorrow heading to the West.
The politician also added that the proposed three-day ceasefire is an attempt by Putin to hold his parade without fearing airstrikes.
On May 1, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham stated that he has the support of 72 colleagues for a bill that proposes new "devastating" sanctions against Russia and tariffs for countries purchasing Russian oil, gas, and other key commodities.
At the Strategic Communications Center (SPRAVDI), they are confident that Russia is simulating diplomacy to avoid sanctions and continue its war against Ukraine.
