EU signs 8 contracts on joint arms procurement for Ukraine

The European Defense Agency has signed 8 framework contracts with industry for the joint procurement of 155mm ammunition for Ukraine, the EDA website reports.

"We are taking another step forward in our three-track ammunition initiative. Member States can now pass orders within eight framework contracts. Time is of essence. Putin does not show any sign of letting up in his aggression against the Ukrainian people. This is why our military support for Ukraine’s defense must continue," said Josep Borrell, the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

According to the report, joint procurement is the best option to achieve cost savings through economies of scale and interoperability, allowing member states to purchase ammunition according to their national needs or in support of Ukraine

NAPC launches portal for corruption whistleblowers

On September 6, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption launched a Unified Whistleblower Reporting Portal (hereinafter referred to as the Portal), where citizens can report corruption cases they have detected.

Corruption cases can be reported both anonymously and with identification. However, if a person reports anonymously, he or she will not be able to obtain the status of a whistleblower and thus receive a reward.  The amount of the reward is 10% of the monetary value of the subject of the corruption criminal offense or the damage caused to the state. However, the reward cannot exceed 3,000 minimum wages established at the time of the offense. The reward is paid based on the results of the trial after the court has issued a guilty verdict that has entered into force at the expense of the State Budget by the State Treasury.

Ukrainian Armed Forces drive Russian enemy out of Klishchiivka

Ilya Yevlash, head of the press service of the Eastern Military Group, said that urban fighting continues in Klishchiivka, and the Russian enemy is withdrawing with losses.

"On the southern flank near Bakhmut, the enemy is suffering losses in manpower and equipment. The enemy continues to retreat with fighting. Ukrainian defenders are making progress in the Klishchiivka sector, liberating our land from the occupiers meter by meter. We continue to consolidate our positions on the liberated frontiers," said Yevlash.

According to him, the Russian enemy is trying to defend, but is withdrawing from Klishchiivka to previously prepared positions.

"We are successfully defeating the Russian enemy. We are destroying their equipment and personnel. Russian forces are panicking and looking for ways out of this situation," Yevlash said.
