Ukrainian army claims success in Klishchiivka sector, near Bakhmut
Ilia Yevlash, head of the press service of the Eastern military grouping, says that urban fighting continues in Klishchiivka, the Russian troops are withdrawing with losses
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The Russian forces are suffering losses in manpower and equipment on the southern flank near Bakhmut. The enemy continues to retreat. Our defenders are making progress in the Klishchiivka sector, liberating our land from the occupiers meter by meter. We continue to consolidate our positions on the liberated frontiers," emphasized Yevlash.
According to the head of the press service of the Eastern military grouping, the Russian enemy is forced to withdraw from Klishchiivka.
"City battles are ongoing in Klishchiivka. The Russian troops are defending itself, but are retreating to previously prepared positions. We are successfully defeating the enemy. We destroy their equipment and personnel. The enemy is panicking and looking for ways out of this situation," emphasized Yevlash.

Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ukrainian Army, said that the invading Russian forces are not abandoning their plans to reach the borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Instead, they are preparing to take revenge on Ukrainian defenders.

On the southern front, the Ukrainian Armed Forces made serious progress, which was recognized by NATO partners. The counteroffensive near Bakhmut gained momentum, while a Russian tank attack in the Luhansk region failed.
