In Kherson region, Russian soldiers are blown up by their own mines
Invading Russian forces continue to kill each other on the battlefield. According to the General Staff, in Serhiivka, Kherson region, after the next rotation in positions, from June 15 to the present, up to 10 enemy soldiers have been blown up on mines laid by the previous rotation in one of the units of the 5th Army of the Eastern Military District.
In general, Russia is focusing its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions.
Japan and the World Bank will provide Ukraine with USD 1.5 billion
The World Bank's Board of Executive Directors approves a USD 1.5 billion loan to support Ukraine's recovery and development, with 33-year guarantees from the Government of Japan.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, these funds will be used to support the strengthening of Ukraine's social protection system, economic recovery, and improvement of the transparent and efficient use of public resources.
"Japan and the World Bank are key partners of Ukraine who have been supporting us since the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion. The partners' funds will be used to finance expenditures to meet the needs of the most vulnerable categories of citizens. I am grateful to the Government of Japan and the Board of Executive Directors of the World Bank for this important decision which will help to maintain the financial stability of the country. We expect to receive these funds in the nearest future," said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
National Guardsmen consolidate new positions in the Luhansk region
The National Guard repelled an enemy attack and gained new positions in the Luhansk region, the Interior Ministry's press service reports.
"Soldiers of the 50th Regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochen, together with other units of the Defense Forces, successfully repelled the attack of the Russian military despite the enemy's overwhelming numbers. The Ukrainian military killed 40 soldiers, wounded more than 100 and destroyed their equipment. Russian troops continued the attack, but the National Guard repelled the second offensive," the Interior Ministry said.
The battle lasted about 18 hours and included joint work of different groups, as well as support for aerial reconnaissance and fire correction.
11 explosions occurred in occupied Berdiansk
On the morning of June 30, 11 explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region, including in the airport area.
"11 explosions occurred in Berdiansk. The airport area is on fire and detonating. Ambulances have been sent in that direction. We are waiting for official information from the General Staff," the Berdiansk City Military Administration reported.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces had destroyed the headquarters and fuel and lubricants depot of the Russian army.
Denmark to provide Ukraine with air defense missiles in new aid package
On June 30, the Danish government announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include air defense missiles, ammunition and demining equipment.
According to the press service of the Danish Ministry of Defense, the government will allocate 1.3 billion Danish kroner (170 million euros). The package will include funds for the purchase of artillery shells jointly with the EU. The full content of the new military aid package has not been disclosed.
"International cooperation is crucial to continue supporting Ukraine's fight for freedom. Unfortunately, it seems that the war is dragging on, and with the numerous donations, we and our allies are sending a strong message that we stand by the Ukrainians in the long term," said acting Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.
He added that the aid package was formed on the basis of Ukraine's wishes and needs, and is being financed by the newly created Ukrainian Foundation.
