Australia may deliver more than 40 F/A-18 fighters to Ukraine

The United States, Australia, and Ukraine are discussing the possibility of delivering 41 F/A-18 aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which are to be decommissioned.

This was reported by the Australian Financial Review, citing sources in the Australian government.

The United States is favorable to the idea of transferring F/A-18s to Ukraine. Washington's approval for the supply of the aircraft is necessary because the United States owns the intellectual property for the fighter jets.

It is reported that 41 aircraft have been withdrawn from the Royal Air Force and replaced with modern F-35s.

The enemy tried to conduct assault operations, but without success. To the north of Avdiivka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have some operational gains. The Ukrainian army is gradually counterattacking," noted Barabash.
