NATO recognizes Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide and the Russian regime as terrorist one
The NATO Parliamentary Assembly has unanimously recognised Russia's crimes against Ukraine as genocide and the terrorist regime in Russia as Ruscism. This declaration will have far-reaching political implications, said Yehor Cherniev, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
"This is our diplomatic victory. All of our key wishes regarding the final text of the declaration have been taken into account. It includes support for the international tribunal, assistance to Ukraine before and after the victory, condemnation of the ideology of Ruscism, restoration of territorial integrity, sanctions, reparations, the Marshall Plan, and much more," he wrote.
Russians fighting Russians in Belgorod region
The Freedom of Russia Legion said it was creating a demilitarized zone on the Ukraine-Russia border. Russian propaganda media report injuries to deputy head of Grayvoron administration.
The Freedom of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps said they had liberated the settlements of Kozinka and Gora-Podol in the Belgorod region of Russia as part of the creation of a demilitarized zone on the border with Russia so that Russians could not fire on Ukraine from there, and advanced units could enter Grayvoron.
"In the future, we are moving towards the liberation of all of Russia from Putin's dictate and the end of the criminal war," the press service said.
Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, responded to the events in the Belgorod region.
"The only driving political force in a totalitarian country of tightened screws is always the guerrilla movement with arms in hand. Ukraine is watching the events in Russia's Belgorod region with interest and studying the situation, but has nothing to do with it," he wrote.
Podolyak also added that tanks are sold in any Russian military store, and underground partisan groups are still made up of Russian citizens.
Ukrainian pilots start training on F-16s
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that Ukrainian pilots have started training on F-16s.
"Pilot training has already begun, and I hope that we will soon be able to provide Ukraine with these weapons [F-16s]," Borrell said.
He added that he supports the creation of an alliance to supply Ukraine with F-16 combat aircraft and expressed hope that they would soon arrive in Kyiv.
"This is a good thing coming from the G7. They have finally decided to prepare the ground in order to provide Ukraine with the jet fighters they need," Borrell said.
The Ukrainian Air Force clarified that the training has not yet begun, but is "about to start."
100,000 neutralized Russian soldiers near Bakhmut
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine confirmed the words of US President Joe Biden, who said that Russia had lost more than 100,000 troops in Bakhmut.
"Well, there are no discrepancies here," said Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. According to him, the only difference is in the way the data is presented. According to him, there is an approach when total losses are presented, along with the killed and wounded, and there is another when the killed and wounded are presented separately. There is also a difference in the period for which data is presented.
At the same time, according to Serhiy Zgurets, director of the information and consulting company Defense Express, Bakhmut has become a trap for the occupying Russian forces, and the control of the dominant heights of Bakhmut belongs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The Ukrainian side will implement its plan to make Bakhmut a real trap for the units located in the city. While at the tactical level the enemy has reached the administrative borders of Bakhmut, at the operational level it is a systemic trap," said Zgurets.
A new Ukrainian wind farm has been launched not far from Russian-occupied territories
A new wind farm has been put into operation in southern Ukraine. Tyligul wind farm is located in the Mykolaiv region, 100 km from the Russian-occupied territories. The first phase of the Tyligul wind farm is already generating green electricity.
"The wind farm's 19 turbines have an installed capacity of 114 MW and produce up to 390,000 kWh, which is enough to supply electricity to 200,000 households per year," the company said.
Ukraine’s energy company DTEK has already laid the foundations for the installation of 64 more turbines at the second stage of the Tyligul wind farm. It is expected to provide clean electricity to homes and businesses in the south of Ukraine that are affected by shelling.
