US Senate confirms Biden's pick for ambassador to Ukraine

The US Senate has confirmed Bridget Brink, proposed as a candidate by President Biden, as the US Ambassador to Ukraine.

Reuters reported Brink's appointment.

The US Senate appointed career diplomat Bridget Brink the Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine. This position has been vacant for 3 years.

Brink's candidacy was unanimously supported.

Bridget Brink is from Michigan, she speaks Russian and is currently the US ambassador to Slovakia. Brink has been a career diplomat for 25 years and has served in Uzbekistan and Georgia, as well as several senior positions in the State Department and the White House National Security Council.
