US monitors amount of ammunition used in Russia’s war in Ukraine

US Joint Chiefs Chairman of Staff Mark Milley said that the United States is studying how much ammunition Russia used in war against Ukraine.

Study of this issue will help military to make sure that Pentagon has correctly calculated number of weapons that may be needed in future operations or in case of possible conflicts.

"We are going through a study, an analysis right now, to ensure that our war plans, our contingency plans, which we have multiples around the world in different theaters, to make sure that we have done the right math, the right estimates," Milley said.

He also added that, if necessary, military leadership of the United States will turn to weapons manufacturers to replenish arsenal. This will be done to ensure that required type and level of stock is available.
