“I like him”: Trump affirms good relationship with Zelenskyy
U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump has expressed that he has a positive relationship with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

According to The Washington Post, Trump stated, “I had a good relationship with Zelenskyy. I like him.” He attributed this to Zelenskyy's actions in 2019 when Trump was facing potential impeachment.
“He could have said he didn’t know the [conversation] was taped. … But instead of grandstanding and saying, ‘Yes, I felt threatened,’ he said, ‘He did absolutely nothing wrong,’” Trump emphasized.
