Ivan Tymochko, a serviceman with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ukrainian Land Forces, notes that Russia is forced to re-engage troops that are being withdrawn for revitalization
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The military doctrine stipulates that a unit must be replaced or restored if 30% of its personnel have lost their combat capability. Russians are attempting to withdraw their units when they have already lost more than 50% of their personnel. Russian soldiers who were on their way for revitalization were captured yesterday in the southern direction near Robotyne. This indicates that an unpleasant situation is brewing for the Russians. The troops that they are withdrawing for revitalization, they are forced to return again," emphasized Tymochko.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have started to make good progress towards Verbove and the town of Polohy.
"Polohy is one of the hub stations. The enemy is using Polohy as a logistics hub to supply the southern direction. A strike in this direction will cut off their supplies in the Melitopol and Tokmak directions. It is important that the Russians failed to organize and build defenses in the direction of Urozhaine," emphasized Tymochko.

On September 1, Russian troops tried to advance in 4 directions, but were unsuccessful. Instead, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are successfully advancing in the Melitopol direction.

According to British intelligence, Russian forces are likely trying to distract Ukraine from a counteroffensive, thereby forcing it to divide its forces between Orikhiv and Kupyansk.
