Russia loses 570 soldiers, 12 tanks, air defense system in one day of war – General Staff

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces states this in its daily report.

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from 24.02.22 to 02.09.23 are approximately as follows:

• personnel - about 264,060 (+570) people

• tanks - 4,471 (+12)

• armored combat vehicles - 8,637 (+24)

• artillery systems - 5,560 (+30)

• MLRS - 736 (+1)

• air defense systems - 501 (+1)

• aircraft - 315 (+0)

In Donetsk region, invading Russian forces make schoolchildren study according to the Russian program

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the temporarily occupied Volnovakha, Donetsk region, representatives of the occupation authorities are campaigning among the population to force children to study in schools according to the Russian curriculum and vote for candidates from the United Russia party.

Thus, between August 15 and 30, representatives of district education departments accompanied by the Russian FSB visited families who refused to send their children to educational institutions.

The occupying Russian forces conducted ‘preventive conversations’ about compliance with Russian legislation on compulsory secondary education. Parents are subject to reports on improper fulfillment of parental responsibilities.

It is also reported that if three such protocols are drawn up, they will be deprived of parental rights, and the children will be placed under the care of social services in orphanages in Russia.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck 4 areas of Russian manpower and equipment concentration

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 6 strikes on areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and 5 strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Moreover, missile and artillery units struck 4 areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, 10 artillery units at firing positions, 2 command posts, 3 ammunition depots and 1 radar station.

There were 45 combat clashes in the frontline. Situation in different directions of Ukraine

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 30 localities in Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

In the Kupyansk direction, the invading Russian forces carried out unsuccessful offensives near Novoselivske in the Luhansk region. They launched an airstrike near Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region. More than 15 localities of the region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the occupying Russian forces launched air strikes in the areas of Novoyehorivka and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Over 15 localities suffered from hostile artillery shelling in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russian soldiers conducted futile offensives near Kurdiumivka, Donetsk region. They carried out airstrikes in the areas of Stupochky, Bila Hora, and New York in the Donetsk region. More than 20 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, they launched unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Sieverne, Donetsk region, firing artillery and mortar shells at 5 settlements in the region.

In the Marinka direction, the Russian troops unsuccessfully attacked in the area of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region. Over 10 localities of the region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian invaders launched an airstrike near Staromayorske in the Donetsk region. More than 15 localities were affected by Russia's artillery shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian enemy launched an air strike near Malynivka, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 localities underwent artillery shelling in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovs'k region.

In the Kherson direction, over 10 populated areas suffered from hostile shelling.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, consolidate their positions, and carry out counter-battery operations.

Russian troops launch 4 missile and 39 air strikes against Ukraine

Over the past day, the Russian Federation launched 4 missile and 39 air strikes, fired 42 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.
