Ukrainian, US Defense Ministers discuss air defense and artillery supply
On the eve of the next Ramstein meeting, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and his Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov had a call to discuss air defense and artillery for the Ukrainian Armed Forces

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov have spoken on the phone about priorities for the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (UDCG) that will take place next week in Brussels. They mentioned anti-aircraft defense and artillery for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Minister Reznikov informed his colleague about the frontline situation and discussed the importance of providing aid announced at the last Ramstein meeting as soon as possible.

On January 20, the eighth meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group was held at the American Ramstein Air Base in Germany. The head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin called it a crucial moment for Ukraine and the whole world.

Later, the President’s Office deputy head Andriy Sebiha concluded that the next Ramstein meeting scheduled for mid-February would be mainly dedicated to aircraft.
